Anam Cara
Dear Patty~
Hello love! I am just got back from DC and let me tell you or rather write to you about how much fun I had. I mean FUN FUN! So the reason I was in DC was for a conference at our HQ's. It was really good and informational. The other paralegal from my office went and she is a great travel buddy.
Here are some of my fav highlights.
1. Seeing the Burundi Embassy. That is where our paperwork went to get reviewed and stamped before it was sent to Burundi. So I was really excited about seeing it and had no idea what to expect. Most of the Embassy's are really fancy with statues and big old buildings. So we decided to get a cab and go. The plan was just to take a picture of it, since you can't really go in. So our cab driver is from Ethiopia which turned out to be really fun and educational. He told me a lot of stories about Ethiopia and told me what airlines to use and good African resturants in DC. It was really neat and I really enjoyed seeing the Embassy and visiting with this nice man.
2. JASON. Ok. So this was on my last night in DC. Legal Seafood had been recommended by 2 attorney's in our office. So we decided to check it out. We went with 2 other gals, a friend of ours from New Mexico that we have known for about a year and hang out with at these conferences. Then a new friend from Memphis. Who I could never really read..she was sweet but she was really quiet and kind of spacey. I like them both a lot. So we have to wait for about 20 mins for a table and this is a really busy place by the China Gallery Station. So we get in and right off the bat there is Jason. He is really funny and social. So they start teasing me about whether or not I know his name yet..and that is where it all began. Before I know it we are laughing over men ordering Miller Lites and Jason carrying it on a baby tray cos he has to carry everything on a tray. Then it just got really loud and crazy after that. Think ....plastic gloves and rock paper scissoring to crack a lobster tail.....intense eye contact....hand holding....hugging....carni talk. On and on. So Jason is from Florida and is an actor (hence the waiter job..) and is going to an observatory out there. Anyway, he is a real girls guy..you know has a million girl friends...Anyway, I can't tell you how weird it is to meet him..it was like meeting the boy version of me. I don't think I have ever connected that easily with anyone before in MY LIFE! We are soul friends...so he gave me his email address and I drew him a bunch of things on a piece of scrap paper..and that night he found me on facebook and the rest is history....we have been facebook messaging and we are going to write letters..and he totes wants to do P to P with us. He is like a shiny new toy to me. I just want to hang out on a curb with him and drink big gulps and laugh. What say you about all this? Is it crazy?
3. Monument Night Tour. I had done this before and wanted my friends to do it. It is soo awesome and the MLK memorial was not done last time I was there. I get emotional on the tour. Lol. It's hard to see Arlington National Cemetary and all that and not just feel "Patriotic"..you know what I mean?
4. I had a lot of laughs on this trip and it was soo much fun and easy hanging with everyone. I am having a little bit of City withdrawl...you know what I mean. And the eating like a queen, having your bed made just having fun..you know what I mean. lol.
I am glad to be home with the boys though and Rhino is awesome. He is so exicted that I made a soul friend. He amazes me.
Anywho, I am totes excited for Hunger Games!!!!! I saw some quotes today and I was tearing up. lol. It might be all the clubbing I did last night and the cinnamon whiskey...blerg...there was even a security tackle at my feet. Good lord....am I too old for da club. I just wanna dance you know. lol.
Write when you can, I want to hear more and keep the Supernatural talk going, it cracks me up and I love it.
Love you lots and lots,

Monotony, Routine.
These are very bad words to me. I am a bid of a contradiction myself though, because I do want some kind of routine but I do not like it. Once I've established a routine that gets things done, for the most part, I am bored and need to change it up to keep myself interested. I can't explain it, it's the way things are. I deal.
Anyhow, so that being said, I am way over this school year and am wanting for Summer, like, right now. Showers times, bed times, homework time, dinner time, Blah blah blah time. This is where I am staring off into space and dreaming of some other time. Anytime. In our world, Summertime is a free for all. The only things we really plan are a few art classes and some swimming classes. They are like a month long so I am not overwhelmed with schedules (sssshhhheduuuellls) by then.
Pray for me?
So health food ain't got much flavor, girl. I don't know enough about food and making it taste good I assume garlic is prevolent in this. I want to take a cooking class. I have to start at the beginning and learn the basics of flavor and spices and cooking temperatures and time... and all that. I have no idea where I would take a class like that but I am researching Salem to find out. I want to be a food connoisseur. I want to have dinner parties in which I knock your pants off with my awesome food... or make your skirt fly up, you choose.
You know, you have made it so extremes convenient for me to write you on here that I may never write another letter. I kid I kid, Muffin. Calm down. Can we do a little something to get it revved up again. A little exchange of some sort or a scavenger hunt for a something perfect to send. These are just ideas. I am running them by you, we are braining it out. Let's do it.

If you need me I will be huddled in the corner watching Downton Abbey and reading my mound of books~
Patty,
I have obsessions. Did you know this? Like for instance I really like a British show called "Downton Abbey" you may have heard me mention it...well I am through with season 2 and dun dun dun...must wait until September 2012 for the next season. WTH. So I called the TV company and asked how I could get British TV and not just BBC America but you know the programs..I even said programs being all British mood and all. Well, apparently there is no way...and they don't get asked that a lot or ever....Sigh.....
Now on to books and my heart break for Augustus and Hazel...you must read "The fault in our stars" to know them. They even have a facebook which I think is ran by toddlers that I joined thinking it would be a mix...but I don't think so Pats, I just don't think so. I am still sad about Gus and Hazel....sigh...
I lucked out quick cos I found 2 other great books, like obsess books..but now those are done and sequels seem eons away..
I think I am in obsess mode..it happens...trying to keep my mind busy not thinking about Africa and end up in the corner..
God Save The Queen,
