Hello Snow and Ice my old friend~
The weather is uber cray cray right now. BUT enough about that. Random things I have discovered during this time of semi hibernation.
1. I freakin love "Downtown Abbey" I mean L-O-V-E. It's additicting and I recommend everyone get hooked. Seriously, I need someone to talk to about it. I have totally fallen head over heals for PBS. I mean PBS blows away any other channel. Ok, you know how I feel about the CW so all other channels.
2. Rogue hates cops. I mean, like really hates. I don't know if he was a drug dealer in his past life but as a dog in this one he has a HUGE vendetta. So the cops and task force were at their usual monthly "visit" across the street this morning and Rogue was all annoyed and hostile. I used to think he only hated people and cars disturbing his sleep/window time but he only barks at cops. AND cop cars...it's weird and totally Van Hazel of him.
3. Doctors offices are nuts and full of nuts. I went to Rhino's appt this morning and fell right in with the crowd. It's a small office, you know the kind where everyone knows your name..wait..that sounds familar..I learned so much from a group of people that all knew each other. One was missing an arm so I learned a lot about "ghost arm" which I knew a little about phantom limbs prior but nothing to this caliber. I also learned that one guy was part of a "snow blowers union" I mean who knew...I even got to see his union card which had a snowman on it..very appropriate. I got some advice on ringtones from a man encouraging his brother to keep an open mind in lamaze. The waiting time went so fast.
4. Random people will come to your house and ask to shovel your snow...for money....like more than 2 dollars money...I mean one kid showed up with a broom...hey, we can't all be Rhodes scholars.
5. Finally, I learned that "snow days" are really the universe's way of saying, "Hey Am, slow down a little would ya...enjoy the little things....whether it be a British show, a dog with high moral standards, a room full of nuts, or a belly laugh from a broom kid.
Until next time,
Cakes xoxox
